Huge weekend away, in San Francisco, for the BlogHer Food 2010 conference. I am back home today, getting myself squared away for the week and trying to remember all the interesting things I heard and saw and tasted. Made several new friends and caught up with folks I have known since I started this adventure. And making an effort to get my hands (literally) around the immense amount of conference schawg.

In the meantime, we need a menu for this week. Two other members of the family offered to cook on Monday night, although I do need to get their sauce ready. And we have a couple nights out this week, so my plan ought to be straight forward.

When I came home from the conference, I discovered our Two Small Farms box had a load of tasty goodies: Strawberries, Cilantro, Tomatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Mixed Sweet Peppers, Chantenay Carrots, and Lettuce. Strawberries are for breakfast, and the tomatoes I decided to slow roast for the freezer.

Here is my menu plan for Monday, October 11:

Sunday: Grilled lamb chops, roasted sweet potatoes (with a dash of chipotle), braised carrots, green salad

Monday: Lasagna (in celebration of Columbus Day!), green salad

Tuesday: Leftovers

Wednesday: Out to dinner

Thursday: Fiesta night – burritos, Rancho Gordo bean pot, cilantro salsa, tomato salsa, chips, perhaps even a margarita

Friday: Movies and ? (leaving it open to see what we feel like)
