From My Home to Yours: Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie

Took dinner to two friends last month, and decided to use my slow cooker to help the job along. Followed the recipe in Cook’s Illustrated Best Slow & Easy Recipes for Slow-Cooker Chicken Pot Pie, and gave myself two days to put the recipe together. Day 1 was to do the filling, and day 2 was assembly and baking. The recipe made 2 9″ round pies, and I used crust I had in the freezer from Christmas baking.

  1. I’d forgotten all about slow cookers. I’ll have to get mine out, dust it off and use it again. I used to make all sorts of tasty meals in it but, for some reason, I haven’t used it for a while. Thanks for the reminder!
