Our box from Fifth Crow Farms arrived on a rainy Thursday, which meant I ran outside and grabbed it quick while trying to stay dry. In the box we found Chard, Beets, Spinach, Leeks, Carrots,Baby Head Lettuce, Broccoli and Savoy Cabbage. The cabbage was used on Saturday night, along with the chard and a bit of braising mix leftover from last week for our St Patrick’s Day dinner, which included Suzanne Goin’s Corned Beef with Parsley Mustard Sauce (I did the corned beef in the crock pot the night before), Roasted Slabs of Cabbage, and my favorite Colcannon (mashed potatoes, greens and green garlic) from Simply Recipes.

Sunday: Smoked pork chops, leftover Colcannon, braised chard, roasted broccoli
Tuesday: School event
Wednesday: Bean and Leek Soup (from Rancho Gordo Facebook Post), grilled cheese
Thursday: Take out
Friday: Pizza night!
